Akintunde Omotehinde, 27, who about three weeks ago was accused of raping his 60 year-old mother and charged with rape, has been remanded in prison custody by an Ado-Ekiti Magistrate Court in Ekiti State.
Prosecutor Ebenezer Ewuola told the court that the accused committed the offence on August 23, in Ajebamidele Area of Ado-Ekiti.
He claimed that the accused ‘forcefully and unlawfully’ had carnal knowledge of his mother, which led to her being hospitalised.
He added that on the same date, the accused assaulted and inflicted injuries on one, Isiaka Ojo, who attempted to separate him from his mother during the act.
He said the offence contravened Section 358 of the Criminal Code Laws of Ekiti State, 2012.
The prosecutor said he had sent his case file to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, for legal advice.
The accused plea was not taken.
Akintunde was remanded in prison custody, pending the DPP’s legal advice and adjourned the case till October 16.
this world is definitely coming to an end cos i dont see a way that God let things like this go on.
he shouldnt live in an environment where humans are. he should be thrown in a cage alongside a lion.
castration would be considered generous. he doesnt deserve his manhood.
sharia is the only way i see us moving forward. it seems a bit hard and unorthodox but its very efficient. this guy is an animal.
