A 55 year old man, Mr. Alani Shoyeju who is married to a prophetess, Mrs. Omowunmi Shoyeju has told Igando Customary Court to dissolve his marriage without further delay.
According to Alani, he used to make soaps with the prophetess before they fell in love and became husband and wife about three years ago.
He said that peace had deserted him since he married her, and last year he had to leave the house for her.
He told the court that the supposed woman of God was in the habit of fighting him with bottle and knife, whenever they had issues at home.
Narrating how their affairs started “the prophetess suddenly came to my house, and said that her former husband sent her out, and she had brought her belongings to my house.
“She came on Okada in the rain, so I found it difficult not to accommodate her.”
He therefore pleaded with the court to dissolve the marriage. In her defence, the 40 year old prophetess said that she started having problems with her hubby when she found a horn in his pocket, and confronted him.
Meanwhile, the presiding judge R.I.Adeyemi adjourned the case till April 23, 2013.
