Osa Alohaneke, a Nigerian living in the US is accused of killing his fiancee, Evelyne Ebane Epiepang, a Cameroonian and wounding her sister in a double stabbing at their Mission Bend home.
The 56-year-old(pictured with his late fiancée) perpetrated the dastardly act at their home in 16300 block of Alametos Drive, according to the official website for KHOU-TV.
The suspect told police that the victim, was his fiancée and that they lived at that address.
The report has it that when police arrived at the scene around 7 p.m. Wednesday, they found one woman dead and another woman injured. Another man, a friend of the victims, was at the home but unharmed.
It was reported that Alohaneke was found in bloody clothes standing nearby.
The injured victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries.
Police said that was their second visit to the home that evening. It was a couple hours earlier the victim called 911 to report a case of family violence from another location.
But when police arrived at the home, the suspect had already left the area.
Two hours later, someone phoned the fiancée to tell her the suspect was back at the home. The fiancée and her sister arrived, and that’s when the stabbings occurred.
“Just thought it was some kids. She was in the back of the house. She just thought it was some kids playing,” Domonic, a neighbor, said.
“That is extremely upsetting. When it happened, my daughter was mowing the grass around the time that she was probably stabbed. She’s 14. That is extremely unnerving,” Julie Steele, another neighbor, said.
Alohaneke was booked into the Fort Bend County Jail. No bail amount has been set as the case remains under investigation.
