MOTHER ARRESTED AS POLICE DECLARE WOMAN WANTED OVER LESBIANISM

The police have declared a suspected lesbian, Bukola Ologunja(pictured) wanted after she jumped bail.

However, Bukola’s mother, Mrs. Dorcas Ogunbanjo(pictured right), who stood bail for her was arrested last week, November 2, 2015 at Orelope street in Egbeda, Lagos as the police commenced process to bring a charge against Bukola.

According to police sources at Area M where Mrs. Ogunbanjo was quizzed, the 66 year-old grandmother admitted that her fleeing daughter was into lesbianism adding that she had pressured her to be straight.

Same-sex sexual activity is illegal in Nigeria. The maximum punishment in the twelve northern states that have adopted Shari’a law is death by stoning while in the south under the secular criminal laws, the maximum punishment is 14 years’ imprisonment.
