Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Benue State, Nentawe Yilwatda, has resigned from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to contest for governorship on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Plateau State.
This is, according to PREMIUM TIMES saying Mr Yilwatda was coy about his ambition when asked but owned up to his resignation and plan to join the ruling party after four years in INEC.
The publication quoted Festus Okoye, the INEC commissioner for information and voter education, as saying, “He has disengaged from the Commission.”
