Lagos APC rally violence: NURTW suspends Kunle Poly

The national executive of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, has suspended Azeez Lawal, aka Kunle Poly from all its activities.

Poly, who was the Chairman of the Union’s Idumota chapter in Lagos, was handed down the suspension by the leadership for masterminding the violence that marred the flag off of the campaign of the ruling All Progressive Congress governorship candidate, Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu, in which one person was killed while several injured including Musliu Akinsanya, aka MC.

The union’s national chairman, Najeem Yashin at a press conference today told newsmen that following the transport workers’ leadership’s investigation into the violence at the rally held at Skypower ground, Poly was found culpable and has been suspended indefinitely from all activities of the union.
