OBASANJO’S COMPANY’S STAFF APPEARS IN COURT FOR ALLEGEDLY STEALING N1.5M

A female staff of Obasanjo Holdings Limited, a company that belongs to Former President Olusegun Obasanjo was today arraigned before a Magistrates’ Court sitting at Isabo in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital for allegedly stealing the sum of N1.5m belonging to her employer.

The suspect, Olajoke Monspalir (pictured), a protocol officer in the company was accused of diverting the fund for personal use.

The 31-year-old who recently wedded one Mr. Ogunleye(pictured of the wedding right) however, denied the allegation.
The prosecutor, Sunday Egbejiale told the court that the suspect committed the alleged offence sometime in August at Obasanjo Holdings Limited located at the Agbeloba area in Abeokuta.joke 3

He said, “The accused stole the money entrusted to her for the booking of flight tickets for some of Obasanjo Holdings Limited members of staff who were supposed to travel with Eastwind Travel Agency.

“The offence contravened Sections 383, 390 (9) of the Criminal Laws of Ogun, 2006.”

The Chief Magistrate, Anthony Araba, granted later the accused bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The case has been adjourned till December 17 for further hearing.
