After a successful kidney transplant in India, top music producer, OJB Jezreel who had to plead for financial assistance from fellow-Nigerians so as to raise N16m for the operation has claimed that so many people gave him bounced cheques.
Jezreel’s whose loving wife donated her kidney to him made this claim in an interview recently.
The producer who is now recuperating managed to restrain himself from mentioning names of popular Nigerians who also issued him dud cheques, however, he was full of thanks to several Nigerians who stood by him.
His words: “There are well meaning and bitter people in Naija. Most people were just complaining and these people didn’t even donate. All the figures flying in the air then were just fake and make-belief from different angles because if we had the money we wouldn’t have the governor donate N16million,” he said.
He lamented further that, “tots of cheques that some people donated bounced. I don’t want to mention names and when we called them to come for their cheques they didn’t come for it. We didn’t want to talk about it in the media because it was about saving a life.”
