Olubunmi Afuye’s remains, the broadcaster and Public Relations Officer of Elizade University, who was killed in last Thursday’s bank robbery in Ondo State have been committed to mother earth in Akure, the state capital.
Afuye was one of the victims of the robbery attack on a branch of the United Bank for Africa, Ilara-Mokin. Other were a policeman and a motorcyclist.
The slain broadcaster was driving when he ran into the gunmen, who shot him dead.
A precursor to his burial was a funeral at the St. Thomas Anglican Church in Akure during which Venerable Sunday Sanni described Nigeria as a killing field where death is a dime a dozen.
