Alleged Rape: Youths protest against Lagos Poly Rector

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ikorodu North Chapter, have asked embattled Acting Rector of the Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH), Olumide Metilelu, who is under investigation for alleged rape to step down.

The United Action for Democracy (UAD) had petitioned the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu over series of alleged sexual misconduct of Metilelu.

NYCN members made the demand during their protest at the Lagos State House of Assembly and the Governor’s Office where they were received by Director, Office of Civic Engagement, Kolawole Hundeyin.

The group led by Ganiu Nurudeen also called for speedy investigation into the matter and reserved praise for Gov. Babajide Sanwoolu’s wife, Ibijoke, and the Coordinator of Domestic, Sexual and Violence Response Team (DSVRT) Lagos State, Mrs. Titilola Vivour Adeniyi, for giving the matter the attention it deserves.
