Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has hit out at the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
Wike’s vitriol at Oshimhole was contained in his statement at a media parley he held on Monday in Port Harcourt.
Speaking against the backdrop of the ineligibility verdict the All Progressives Congress, APC, passed on Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki, disqualifying him from contesting in the party governorship primary slated for June 22, citing irregularities in his certificates, the Rivers governor said Oshiomhole was in no position to judge Obaseki.
He cited alleged lack of educational certificate by the former labour leader and the fact that he was a cheerleader for Obaseki’s emergence campaigning vigorously for the incumbent in 2016.
His word: “Adams Oshiomhole, APC national chaieman campaigned for Governor Godwin Obaseki four years ago. The same man has turned around to say that Obaseki has a defective certificate.
“Has Oshiomhole apologised to Nigerians that he supported someone with a defective certificate? Who is saying that a sitting governor has a defective certificate? Is it a man that does not have a certificate?”
