Pastor dies Hours after ‘prophetic’ Xmas Facebook post

A businessman cum politician and pastor, Egheomhanre Eyieyien, has died on Christmas Day hours after he posted on his facebook page that this year’s Xmas was going to be an “unusual Christmas Day”.

Egheomhanre who hailed from Uromi in Edo State, and had a shot at contesting for a seat in the senate representing Edo Central Senatorial District was the CEO of Pharez Ratings Ltd, and at 8.05am on December 25, wrote on his wall: “I hear in my spirit the words; an unusual Christmas Day; an uncommon day; completion; conclusiveness; unmistakable proofs, ear-tingling testimonies… to the person who can believe God. But at exactly 1.26pm, Egheomhanre’s younger brother, Iyere Eyieyien, broke the news of his death on his facebook wall, he wrote: “My only brother Pastor Egheomhanre Emmanuel Eyieyien (29th April 1967 – 25th December 2015) went to be with the Lord this morning after a brief illness. My heart is heavy. But what can I say but thank God for a life well spent. He fought a good fight. The Crown he worked for all these years is now resting majestically on his head. Survived by his wife(pictured right) and a son, one of Egheomhanre Eyieyien’s friends was Pastor Wale Adefarati, the General Overseer of Guiding Light Assembly.
Pastor Adefarati is among those who have made comments on the shocking death of Egheomhanre under Iyere’s post on facebook, and he wrote: “What a shock! He had wanted to come and see me for a chat next week. He lives on in eternity.”
