The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has hurled veiled vitriol at members of the National Peace Committee, NPC, led by former Head of States, Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar (retd.).
NPC, the trouble shooting committee, after the election has met with the leadership of the ruling All Progressive Congress and its PDP counterpart with the view to broker peace between the warring parties.
However, the main opposition party, on Monday after its expanded meeting to review the election and fine tune strategies for coming Saturday’s governorship and state assemblies elections, hinted of its disappointment with the committee’s reconciliatory efforts.
“What happened during this election has never happened in the history of this country. They are celebrating criminality, they are celebrating evil.
‘’Our leaders are not talking and if you don’t speak against evil, it will consume everybody. The National Peace Committee is not saying anything,” the party national chairman, Prince Uche Nwosu told newsmen.
