Late Ayole was an auditor at the Abakaliki, Ebonyi State office of the company, and was at Ota in Ogun to spend his leave with his family at their residence when he was murdered in cold blood.

The 52-year-old, according multiple media reports, on May 23, had a disagreement with some neighbours at a site belonging to him, over generator fumes.

He was said to have gotten into a shouting match with workers of a confectionery company neighbouring his site over the company’ generator, which was emitting fumes towards the direction of his site.

Late Ayole approached operators of the company to relocate the generator but his request was met with vehement objection leading to bitter exchanges during which a stone was hauled at him and he died on the spot, his widow, Mrs. Oluwafunmilayo Ayole said.

The deceased, OrijoReporter was told, was survived by his wife and seven children and was a chartered accountant.

His suspected killers have been arrested.
