A Magistrates’ Court in Egor, Benin City, Edo State, on Monday, heard that 23 year-old Juliet Omozuefo, who allegedly stabbed her elder sister’s husband, Chief John Oweh, to death in a scuffle was encouraged to carry out the dastardly act by her sister, Hadiza Oweh.
The deceased had three wives, Emily, Mercy and Hadzat, and in October at the latter’s residence at Upper Siluko Road, he was stabbed to death during a brawl with Hadiza (pictured with her child), who was the second wife.

The code provides that anyone guilty of conspiracy to murder is liable to imprisonment for 14 years while anyone found guilty of murder shall be sentenced to death
“After conspiring with Adizat, Omozuefo unlawfully killed Owhe-Akere by using a knife to stab him on his chest which caused his death,” Oluwale told the court.
The Magistrate, Igho Braimoh ordered the remand of the suspects and adjourned the case till February 19, 2016.
