Prince Odianosen Okojie, husband of popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson, has decamped to the All Progressive Congress, APC, from the  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Prince Okojie defected at Uromi, Esan North East Local Government Council of Edo State alongside his father, Chief Okojie, PDP leader in Ward 2, Mr. John Ehiaguina Iyoha, Chief Ase of Uromi Kingdom and a host of their supporters.

Speaking on behalf of the decampees, the actress’ husband said they were motivated to join the ruling party by alleged excellent performance of the incumbent governor of the state, adding that PDP was teetering on the brink of collapse.

His word,“ had to run away from the sinking ship because of what Governor Obaseki is doing. Obaseki has a good vision for the state. He has roll out his development plans and by the time he finishes, Edo State will be something else and I want to be part of that team.”
