A staff of Ondo State Radio Vision Corporation was yesterday killed by the office generator when it blew up and killed him.
The deceased, Rotimi Fagbemi was an engineer in the engineering department of the state-owned electronic media, and was handling the generator maintenance when the shocking incident happened.

Sources told OrijoReporter that it blew up and shattered him. It was also said that some pieces of the shattered body were found about 5 metres from the spot where the sad event happened.

The incident was said to have instantly led to the suspension of transmission while the workers on duty wailed and accused the management of total neglect of workers condition of service in the station.osrc

It would be recalled that few months ago, union leaders in OSRC and other workers protested the alleged poor working condition and maladministration by its management.

Some of the staff who led the protest were said to have been re-deployed, demoted or denied their normal entitlements for agitating for better working condition in the establishment.

Among the affected workers, who are journalists in the News and Current Affairs Department were the former NUJ, OSRC chapel chairman, Taiwo Ibitoye; his successor, Wahab Bankole; Sola Obagbemisoye, Obafemi Sogbe and RATTAWU chairman, Olatunji Ogidan.
