88,000 people have become millionaires from rice farming business- CBN

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has said he was told that 88,000 people have become millionaires in Kebbi State from rice farming business.

Emefiele stated this in Arungu on Thursday during his visit to WACOT Rice Factory where he spoke to farmers.

His word, “I was told by a permanent secretary that 88,000 millionaires had been created through rice and agricultural revolution. I am assuring you that by the end of this year, 200,000 to 250,000 farmer millionaires will be created through the revolution.”

The CBN governor also had high praise for the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Sama’ila Mere, for supporting government’s efforts at ensuring food security in the country by providing land for WACOT Rice Factory, calling on other royal fathers to emulate the monarch.
