A security guard simply identified as David has macheted his 65-year-old retired female chief magistrate to death in Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital.

David, 25, twenty five-year- beheaded retired Magistrate Olufunmilayo Timeyin, in her Laderin Workers’ Estate (pictured) on Friday.

David, who had only worked as house help to the Timeyin household for two months, was said to have scaled the fence of the house to attack the retired senior magistrate with a machete, hacking her to death.

He was also said to have switched off the electricity supply to the house before attacking her.

Having accomplished his alleged mission, David was said to have scaled the fence back into the bush, behind the house, where he hid himself to avoid being caught.

It was gathered that the late Magistrate, who had gone out of the house, returned back home probably on an emergency, because her car was still outside the gate of the building.

The alarm raised by one of her sons, Olamide, who had earlier knocked on the gate, and heard the desperate cries of her mum attracted some residents who immediately alerted the men of the Ogun State Vigilance Service.

A member of the Vigilante Group who raced to the scene identified as Oluseye Fasina attached to Operation Two, Laderin Unit told Journalists that he immediately ran to the back of the house where he met David who had pulled off his clothes inside the bush and arrested him.

David was said to have matcheted the woman before he later slaughtered her.

It was further gathered from family members who pleaded anonymity that the house help was last week arrested and detained by the police for allegedly burgling the Timeyin family residence.

David was said to have stolen household items, including jewellery, electronics and GSM handsets. He was allegedly caught while trying to sell off the phones and handed over to the police by GSM phone dealers at Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta.

The late chief magistrate was said to have pleaded with the police to release the house help who was only let off the hook last Monday.

The corpse of the late chief magistrate was later taken away to the mortuary by a private Mazda Space bus with registration number Ogun AV 106 AAB at about 7:14pm.
