Busola, wife of late former Super Eagles defender, Yisa Sofoluwe, has threatened to take action against any publications or individuals attributing the demise of her husband to COVID-19.
Sofoluwe died of a brain disease at aged 53 but some publications ascribed his death to COVID-19, a claim riling his widow.
She issued the threat at the late ex-international’s burial in Atan Cemetery on Wednesday in an interview with Punchng.com saying, “News that my husband died of COVID-19 isn’t true. Even when the doctor released him to us today (Wednesday), the man said it was not COVID-19 that killed him. He said he did not write anything like that, he said he did not know who told people that my husband died of COVID-19, that it wasn’t him.
“So if they write that kind of thing, I will sue them, they should not lie, it is better for them to say the truth, they should please say the truth.”
