Lobi Stars Coach, Ogbeide, dies of low Blood Pressure

Head coach of reigning Nigerian Professional League, NPL champion,  Lobi Stars of Makurdi, Solomon Ogbeide, has died of low blood pressure.

Ogbeide, who led the Benue side to clinch the league title in the 2017/2018 season, died on Monday at a private hospital in Makurdi at 2.30pm after he slumped in the morning of the fateful day.

The veteran coach who took the rein of the Lobi Stars in 2017 had led the side to the second position in the abridged NPL in Group B.

Despite his death, the earlier scheduled match between Lobi and Wikki Tourist of Bauchi, a final Group B match went ahead at Aper Aku Stadium with the former winning by two goals to one.
