Sound Sultan dies of throat cancer at 44


Musician Olanrewaju Fasasi better known as Sound Sultan, is dead.

The Jagbajantis crooner died of cancer of the throat at the age of 44 in United States where he was in and out of the hospital following the health challenge, which saw him undergoing chemotherapy.

He succumbed to it on Sunday leaving behind his widow and three children.

Sound Sultan’s first single, Jagbajantis which he dropped in 2000 was a hit.

Kennis Music signed him after he independently released other tracks and appeared in popular songs by other singers.

After a long break from the music scene, he returned in 2015 with the rap hit “Remember.”
