A cab driver, Ifa Ademola, has been arrested for hypnotising a female passenger(name withheld) into marrying him and allegedly defrauded her mother of N7.5m.
The Lagos State Police Command is launching investigation into claims that the 45-year-old cab driver who doubles as a native doctor hypnotised a woman he met in the line of duty in 2011 into having a child for him and allegedly swindled N7.5m from her mother.
While speaking to newsmen at the state command’s headquarters in Ikeja, the victim claimed that the suspect who she had an affair with between 2011 and 2014 had used the money he swindled from her mother to build two bungalow houses in Lagos and Ado Ekiti and also bought two vehicles.
The victim said the suspect deceived her when he told her that she had a spiritual husband that was hunting her, and needed spiritual cleansing to free herself from a spell of bad luck.
However, the suspect denied hynoptising the victim or duping her mother. He said she was his wife and mother of his child and when the going was good between them, he rented a flat for her.
