Jammeh held sway as President of The Gambia for 22 years. He stepped down under pressure from ECOWAS to accept his defeat in a December election to Adama Barrow.
Report says Tinubu is a friend of Guinea President Alpa Conde, and his VP-CBT Falcon jet is with Conde in recent time.
Recall Conde and Mauritania President, Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, arrived Banjul on Thursday to persuade Jammeh to step down.
Jammeh in company of his mother, wife, Zainab, his son, Mohammed and President Conde, left for Guinea in Tinubu’s plane on Saturday night.
According to report, Conde sought Tinubu’s approval before the former Lagos governor’s plane was used to ferry Jammeh out of the country.
