Magu’s lawyer hints at suspended EFCC boss’s reinstatement


Tosin Ojaomo, lawyer to suspended acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has said something to the effect that his client, will be reinstated.

Magu is being investigated by a panel led by Justice Ayo Salami for slew of alleged offences from fraud, corruptly enriched himself in the form of acquiring properties in Dubai, insubordination, reporting judges to their superiors among others.

The culmination was his suspension by the presidency.

However, Ojaomo insisted that Magu is still in the saddle in the anti-graft agency and said something to the effect that his client would be acquitted of the crime he was accused of and reinstated.

“The truth will soon be out. I was there today (Wednesday) but I couldn’t see him. They said I should come early in the morning so I will be there to apply for his bail. The news that someone has been appointed to replace him or that he is under suspension is not true. There is no letter of suspension. You will be shocked how this will end,” he told
