Trouble in Lagos PDP as Bode George’s camp says ‘Agbaje is unserious’

Public row has broken out in the Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP as the camp of Bode George and that of the party governorship candidate, Jimi Agbaje, engaged in bitter exchange.

The battle was under wraps in the run up to the election which Agbaje lost to the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu.

The actors have now gone public with Chief Ogunbambi at  the Luggard Avenue residence of party leader, Chief Bode George during a meeting of the party members to review the March 9 election, torn into Agbaje describing him as ‘unserious’.

“My issue with Jimi is not about Ceaser and Brutus. It is about a man supported with my time and money in 2015 and 2019 and later discovered that he was nothing but a serial politician coming every four years to use our Lagos PDP platform to amass enormous wealth for himself,” Ogunbambi said.

However, Agbaje’s media aide disapproved of Ogunbambi’s claim saying of his principal in a statement he released, “He (Agbaje) has a history and that history is that of a credible person who is serious-minded, who is visionary and who wants the welfare of the land and people of Lagos State. Whoever is saying that he is an unserious person is himself unserious and very shallow minded.”
