Two arrested over socialite’s death from candlelit prayer


Two persons have been arrested over the death of Dubai based Celestial Church member, Kayode Badru from a candlelit prayer held for him at CCC Imole parish, Alagbado area of Lagos.

Kay Money as the deceased was fondly called died on May 5 from burns that occurred when he knelt down for pray held by seven persons including the church pastor, Felix Alebiosu, who all surrounded him.

With candles litghted and one held by him, Kayode caught fire when one of the prayer warriors sprayed perfume on his body and was rushed to Gbagada Hospital where he later died.

His death has however, sparked controversy as the bereaved family and the police are not ruling out foul play.

Report said Alebiosu and one other person have been arrested and currently in the custody of the police in Panti.

Information has it that Badru flew into the country to celebrate the graduation of the 40 students he sponsored to the Academic for Innovative Art and Technology.
