Two killed, Doctor, Nurses, Patients, others kidnapped in Niger hospital

Two persons have been reportedly killed in an attack on Abdulsalami Abubakar General Hospital, Gulu, Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State, by kidnappers. 

The assailants equally went away with a medical doctor, a pharmacist, nurses as well as patients and their relations in the kidnap operation on Monday night. 

Information about the dead victims with regard to their identities is still sketchy as of the time of this publication. 

Impeccable account, said those who are victims of abduction include, the hospital Head of Clinical Services simply identified as Dr. John, Head of Hematology, Usman Zabbo, and a staff member at the medical laboratory, Awaisu Bida. 

Others who suffered similar fate are, wife of the Head of Nursing Services and his daughters, wife and a daughter of the Chief Pharmacist, and many other relations of the patients. 

Unofficial intelligence has it that the dastardly operation was not intended for ransom collection by the perpetrators. The objective going by the account, is that they were in want of medical personnel to treat their colleagues battling either gun wounds or other health issues in the forest.
