The face-off arising from Yusuf’s refusal to self-isolate on his return to the Villa from Lagos amid the coronavirus culminated in gunshots at the seat of power between some members of Aisha’s security details and that of the president.

Consequently, the President’s wife’s Aide-de-Camp, CSP Usman Shugaba, and four others of her bodyguards were arrested and detained with report rife that they had been redeployed from Villa.

About twenty of Buhari’s bodyguards have also suffered the same fate, according to Punchng.com.

“About 20 bodyguards were posted out of the Villa on Wednesday for the incident involving the security aides to the President’s wife and other past issues,” the paper quoted a source familiar with the situation as saying.
