President Muhammadu Buhari has advanced reasons Boko Haram refused to free Leah Sharibu, five years after the terrorist group abducted her and 111 other students of Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno.

Generally referred to as the Chibok School Girls kidnap a host of the abductees died in the terrorists’ den while eighty-two were released in May, 2017.
However, Leah, a Christian, has been held on to by her abductors – allegedly no thanks to her refusal to renounce her faith.
President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday, marking the fifth year anniversary of the massive abduction in one-fell-swoop said Leah is being used by the terrorists as human shield.
“Diverse efforts are being intensified to secure the release of the Chibok Girls, along with all hostages in Boko Haram captivity, including Leah Sharibu who was kidnapped from her school, Science Secondary School, Dapchi, Yobe State, on February 19, 2018.
“On Leah Sharibu’s abduction, the interlocutors have reported encouraging progress so far.
“The report reaching us says her return to her family has unfortunately been hindered by the fear of the militants.
