Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, on Friday, said security authorities were on a mission to arrest Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Igboho because he is not a bandit.
Thugs on Friday foiled attempt to arrest Igboho by security operatives along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The decision to apprehend him, according to Afenifere spokesman, Yinka Odunmakin, in an interview he granted Punchng.com was because he is not a bandit saying such criminal elements are accorded special treatment in President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
“Sunday Igboho is not a bandit. Bandits are special under this administration. That is the difference between a bandit and a non-bandit in Nigeria today,” Odunmakin told the paper.
