Boko Haram has rationalized Saturday’s killings of rice farmers at Zabarmari community in Jere Local Government Area of Borno State.
On Tuesday in a video of the leader of the Islamic sect, Abubakar Shekau, that surfaced online it admitted being behind the gruesome murder citing alleged snitching on them by the slain farmers and warned similar fate awaited other snitchers.
Shekau said at least 78 rice farmers were killed by them contrary to the report that 43 casualties were recorded.
