Family and friends are growing increasingly concerned over the whereabouts of a youth corps member, Akeem Adekunle, posted to Akwa-Ibom State since July.

Akeem(pictured), an HND mass communication graduate of Ibadan Polytechnic had in mid-July visited Lagos where he hails from for the Eid-el-Fitri celebration. orijoreporter.com akeem adekunle

He however left for his place of primary assignment, Itam Secondary School in Itu Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State immediately after the Muslim festival.

But that was the last time his family members as well as his friends including those they are together in service in Akwa-Ibom heard from him.

The NYSC authority in the state is also completely in the dark about Akeem’s whereabouts.
Calls made to his mobile phone number; 08024394665, were said not to be connecting.

A check on the missing corper’s facebook account by OrijoReporter revealed that his mobile phone was stolen around early May but he has gotten another one immediately.

“Fellas my phone was stolen and I know some pple(sic) are trying to reach pls(sic) don’t be annoyed will try to get my sim back tumao(sic)………very sad mood,” the missing corper, Akeem Adekunle posted on May 3, 2015 long before he visited Lagos.
