Igwe’s claim that he is a PhD holder from the Universite Abomey-Calavi, Benin Republic has been a subject of controversy following alleged discovery that he was a post-graduate student of the said university but didn’t complete the doctorate programme.
Earlier in sync with the report that FIIRO DG was parading fake doctorate degree were Deputy Director of the Doctoral School of Pure and Applied Sciences, Prof. Valentine Wotto; and Director of the School of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Joel Tossa, both of Universite Abomey-Calavi.
The latest is Prof. Mansour Moudachirou, his project supervisor then, who told Punchng.com that since 2002 to this day, Igwe is yet to complete his thesis, which would enable him to be conferred with the degree.
“He has written the thesis and completed it. But we made some corrections in his work. After effecting the corrections, he was to come back to present his thesis,” Moudachirou told the paper.
