SHE’S got a body that most women would kill for, and now Remi Abere, the oldest Nigerian woman to climb mountain Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, has let us in on her diet and fitness secrets.

The 49-year-old mother of five who works for International Business Machine (IBM) and was recently a guest on a talk-show programme, Your View, on Television Continental owes her fitness to healthy lifestyle.

She said: “I eat well, and hardly eat meat because it takes 28 days to digest meat it. In this part of the world, we eat a lot of carbohydrate and live a sedentary life. Most times we sit in traffic for two hours.

“But i say no to all these, and work out three to four days a week for 30-45 minutes at a time.”

Remi Abere who on two occasions successful got to the peak of 4,877 metres (16,001 ft) mountain also revealed the secret to her accomplishment.

“I love challenges and i put my mind to it and i believe in myself and my abilities. ”
