The commission of suicide by a 400-level student of Kwara State University, Malete, Rashidat Shittu, has been attributed to depression stemming from poor academic performance.
Rashidat, according to report, had been struggling with her academic and was in no mood to bear it again so her resort to suicide.
“She has been having issues with her academic and informed her colleagues when she started feeling the pain that she took Sniper,” sources narrated.
The undergraduate was pronounced dead on arrival at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital where she was rushed to for treatment.
