Senate President, Godswill Obot Akpabio, has sued Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for defamation, and demanded ₦200 billion in damages.
The suit is filed before an FCT High Court.
In it, Akpabio alleged Natasha of making malicious claims in the media against him.
The Senate president said Natasha accused him of sexually harassing her.
This he declared, injured his reputation and subjected him to public ridicule.
In his prayers, the former Akwa-Ibom governor asked the court to order the Kogi Senator to retract the allegation, make nationwide broadcast to apologise and pay him N200bn in restitution.
In response to the development, Natasha who confirmed receipt of the lawsuit wrote on her Facebook page: “See you in court, Godswill Akpabio.”
