A Kano Magistrate Court has directed the State Hisbah Board to facilitate the marriage of two popular TikTok content creators, Idris Mai Wushirya and Basira Yar Guda, within 60 days.

The order, according to reports followed their recent appearance in viral videos, which the Kano State Films and Video Censorship Board found indecent.

The viral romantic clips of the pair to the authorities was immoral and contrary to religious values upheld in the state.

It resulted in the Shariah agency arraigning them before Magistrate Halima Wali on Monday.

Presiding over the matter, the Magistrate ordered Hisbah to join them together in marriage, warning that failure to conduct their union within the stipulated timeframe would be treated as contempt of court.

The court also mandated the Chairman of the Kano State Films and Video Censorship Board to oversee the implementation of the marriage order.
