Five Home based Eagles make WAFU’s Best XI

The performances of five players of Home-based Eagles in the just concluded WAFU Cup in Ghana have not gone unnoticed as organisers of the tournament named them in its best eleven.

Captain of the side, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, who was named best goalkeeper of the tournament, right-back Osas Okoro and defensive midfielder Afeez Aremu made the starting WAFU XI, while left-back Chima Akas and central defender Olamilekan Adeleye were named among the reserves.

Also in the team, was the highest scorer Ghana’s Stephen Sarfo, his Black Stars’ colleague, Winnful Cobbinah, in the attack of a 4-4-2 formation.
