The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has suspended one of his aides, Saidu Enagi, for exposing alleged plan by him to contest the Niger State governorship in 2027.
Enagi in a Facebook post titled, “Malagi 2027,” declared that Idris would battle the incumbent governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago for the All Progressives Congress, APC ticket in the party primary.
The Minister has however dismissed the aide’s report, distanced himself from it and announced the suspension of the author.
Idris communicated this in a statement his Special Assistant on Media, Rabiu Ibrahim, released in which he said Enagi neither obtained his approval or brought the write-up to his knowledge before posting.
He declared that he’s obsessed with his current job adding that his relationship with Governor Bago is cordial and of mutual benefits.
