One Anas Ahmadu has been kidnapped alongside his wife, Halimat, and their two-year-old daughter, Jidda Anas, at their residence in Katsina, with a vigilante killed by the perpetrators.
The incident, according to report happened at Canada Quarters, in Sabuwar Unguwa area of Katsina metropolis in the early hours of Tuesday — at 3.00am.
Report said the couple were woken up to the assailants’ presence while the latter were making efforts to gain access to their apartment.
In reactions, Anas tried unsuccessfully to sneak out of the house from the backdoor while the wife hid in the toilet and placed a distress call to a vigilante, report said.
It adds that the vigilante on a rescued mission was killed by the kidnappers who forced their way into the house and made away with the whole family.
It was further stated that Halimat is the daughter of a prominent business man in Katsina State, and she is seven-month pregnant.
