Redeployed General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division, Maj.-Gen. Isidore Edet, has disclosed that the Nigerian Army arrested 37 suspected Boko Haram members in the past 15 months in Lagos area.

He made this disclosure at the command’s headquarters in Lagos on Thursday while handing over the flagship of 81 Division to his successor, Maj.Gen. Ebenezer Oyefolu.
“While Boko Haram is being defeated in the northeast, members of the group flee to other parts of the country but we ensure they are arrested irrespective of where they run to. Here in Lagos, we have continued to arrest them and hand them over to the necessary agency. We have arrested over 37 of them from August last year when I took over to this month,” Edet told reporters after the event.
