Former Kano State Governor and leader of New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has dropped hint of alligning with President Bola Tinubu to secure the president reelection in 2027.
Kwankwaso has become a coveted figure between the coalition and the President, with the recent resignation of his Kano-rival, Abdullahi Ganduje as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress deemed as an arrangement to make him join the ruling party.
On Monday he was seen publicly for the second time with Tinubu.
The leader of the Kwankwasiyya political movement had a private meeting with Mr President after which he addressed State House correspondents.
In his address, according to reports, Kwankwaso didn’t go into detail of what passed between him and the president at the meeting but dropped hint of supporting the latter’s reelection in 2027.
