The report that Muhammed Babangida, son of former military president Ibrahim Babangida, turned down the federal government appointment has drawn reaction from the presidency.

Muhammed was appointed by President Bola Tinubu as Chairman of Bank of Agriculture.

What soon followed was report that he rejected the appointment, with a rejection letter credited to him circulating on social media.

The rumour gained his attention and he shot it down with a statement in which he denied anything of such and stated otherwise.

The presidency has now had a share in the conversation via Olusegun Dada, Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Social media.

“Muhammed Babangida has officially accepted his appointment as Chairman of the Bank of Agriculture (BOA), expressing deep gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the trust reposed in him,” Dada posted on his X handle.
