A husband supposedly from hell, John Christopher, has killed his wife, Isoken, for refusing his request to loan him, N2, 000.
The incident happened at No. 1 Anigboro Street, off Agbontaen Street, Uselu, Benin, the Edo State capital where the couple lived.
Christopher, a 45-year-old, according to report was ire by Isoken’s refusal to borrow him N2000, claiming it was her stock-in-trade to turn down his financial support request and went on to pounce on the mother-of-three in the presence of their eldest child, Austin, killing the 39-year-old who was into petty trading in the process.
The suspect’s quest to flee the scene was said to have been foiled by neighbours, who proceeded to hand him over to the police where Austin testified against his father giving an eyewitness account of how the dad allegedly beat the mother to death.
