A student of University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Chukwuebuka Nwankwo(pictured), has died in a lone accident involving students of the institution travelling from Nsukka to Enugu for Davido’s concert.
The melancholy event which happened on Friday night also claimed the life of the bus driver who drove the vehicle the students were on and left many injured including a final-year student.
The latter, as per report, sustained severe brain injury, with the report further saying that the injured students were rushed to Shanahan Hospital, Nsukka, where they are currently receiving treatment.
The narrative around the lone accident has it that it was caused by the bus headlights which was said to have spoilt.
“The vehicle rammed into a trailer that broke down on the road because of the bus’ spoilt headlight which didn’t allow the driver to see the trailer.
“The driver and Nwankwo died on the spot,” sources narrated.
