The anti-graft agency’s absence was made conspicuous following the presence of the Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, Mr. Ekpo Nta.
Investigation revealed that the controversial lawmaker sent invitation letter to the EFCC, and it was acknowledged by a staff of the commission.
However, at the event neither the acting chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu nor his representative was in attendance.
Among those who graced the occasion were immediate past first lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, Speaker, House of
Representatives, Yakubu Dogara; Ex-Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim; and a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Na’Abba.
Alhaji Aliko Dangote launched the 600-page and 14 chapters book with N10m while Saraki will pay N5,450,000 and Dogara N18m for the book for senators and members of the House of Representatives respectively.
