A man seeking romance has fallen victim to a 17-year-old female student of the Osun State University, Ikire campus, Victory Ehiremen, and her gang.
The man (name withheld) and Ehiremen met on social media and struck up a relationship in the course of which the undergraduate lured the former to Ikire, her base and sequel; to her boyfriend’s house.
There, Ehiremen’s boyfriend, Ayobami Ariyo and his criminal gang beat the man and forced him to transfer N1.5m from his account.
While parading the suspects on Wednesday, the Commissioner of Police, Kehinde Longe, said, “Immediately the case was reported, police detectives swung into action and arrested one Ariyo Ayobami from his hideout.
“Preliminary investigation led to the arrest of the two other accomplices. Efforts are ongoing to arrest other culprits while the suspects will be charged to court after the completion of the investigation.”
