Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa was voted the man-of-the- match on Monday in home-based senior national team’s victory over Sierra Leone in the knockout fixture of the ongoing 2017 WAFU Cup in Cape Coast, Ghana.

Ezenwa won the Nasco Man of the Match following his superlative performance in the match that ended 2-0 in favour of the Eagles, who scored both goals through Rangers’ Osas Okoro and Peter Eneji of Plateau United seven and three minutes into stoppage time.
Prior to the goals, Ezenwa who captained the side had made a series of saves to deny the Sierra Leonians from taking the lead.
With the victory, the home-based Eagles qualified for the group stage where they will face Ghana, Guinea and Mali in Group 1.
