The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) said in its recent history it recorded the highest examination malpractice in this year’s May/June 2017 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Head of National Office of the WAEC, Nigeria, Mr. Olu Adenipekun, who made this known to newsmen on Monday, however, added that this same result was the best in the last 15 years.
According to Adenipekun, results of 214, 952 candidates were withheld, saying it was the highest in the examination council.
Speaking further, he revealed that 59.22 per cent of the candidates obtained five credits including English and Mathematics, adding that in the result was the best among all exams WAEC conducted in the last 15 years.
The WAEC boss advised candidates to check details of their results on the council website: www:waecdirect.org using the result checker PIN and serial number on the flip side of candidates’ CIVAMPENS card issued to them by WAEC.
